What this website keeps, and why

Short, because there is not much of it. This page is about the website you are reading; the desktop product keeps your documents on your own machine.

The contact form

Your name, email address, company and phone if you gave them, and your message. Before a message is accepted we send a one-time code to the address and ask for it back, so nobody can write to us in your name. A message whose code is never entered is deleted after a day. We keep accepted messages for as long as the conversation they started.

Applicant accounts

Your name, email address, phone if you gave it, a hash of your password, and each application you submit: the position, your cover letter, a link if you gave one, and the résumé file. The email address is confirmed with a one-time code before an application can be submitted. Applications are read by the people hiring for that position and nobody else. Write to us from the address on the account to have an account and its applications deleted.

What we do not do

No advertising trackers, no analytics scripts, no third-party cookies. The one cookie this site sets is a session cookie so a form can carry a token and a signed-in applicant stays signed in.

The product itself

The desktop application is built so that your documents stay on your own machine: we do not receive them, and there is no upload step. The product page answers the questions an IT department usually asks next.
