The work
Everything the product hands back is something a licensed professional may have to defend. Somebody has to say whether it is right, in the way a surveyor means that word rather than the way software people mean it. That person is you.
You would read real project documents and real output side by side, decide what belongs on the page and what does not, and turn what you learn into fixtures the engineers are tested against. What we build next is largely decided by what you find.
We keep the details of the product off a public page. You will see the whole thing on the first call.
What you would do
- Review output against the source and tell us precisely where we were wrong — the line, the character, the reason.
- Build the fixture library: the awkward, badly written, genuinely ambiguous documents that practice is actually made of, with the correct answer written down beside each one.
- Sit between the people who use this daily and the people who build it, and make sure the second group hears the first exactly.
- Talk to customers. You will be the person on the call who has walked a boundary.
What we are looking for
- Years of practice in land surveying, boundary work or title. A licence is welcome but not required.
- Fluency with the geometry of boundary work and with the many ways a document can be wrong.
- The patience to write it down. Your notes become tests.
